Set the product requirements
Describe the main user journeys and decide which device features the app needs, such as notifications, location, camera, or offline access. Each feature adds design, implementation, and testing work.
Choose a platform approach based on the requirements, existing team skills, and expected maintenance. A shared codebase may fit some products; platform-specific work may be appropriate for others.
Store review decisions are made by Apple and Google; a development team cannot guarantee approval.
Prepare for review and maintenance
Create developer accounts, privacy disclosures, store descriptions, screenshots, and test credentials before the planned submission. Check that the release behavior matches what the store listing promises.
Plan for bug reports, operating-system updates, and future releases. Submission support can help prepare a build, but store decisions and timing remain with the platform reviewers.
