Software continues after launch
UXIO also operates eCominess, Cargozant, NeighborShare, and OpenEcom. Running products gives the team direct experience with the ongoing work around releases, support, data, and integrations.
A project plan should include who owns each external account, how changes are reviewed, and what happens when an integration or provider changes. These decisions are easier to make before launch.
A handover plan is part of a usable product, not a final-day extra.
Make the maintenance path clear
Document how to deploy the application, where important configuration lives, and how to contact the providers it depends on. Keep secrets out of source control and give the client access to the accounts they own.
Choose support and maintenance based on the product's needs. A small marketing site and a customer-facing application may need different monitoring, update, and incident plans.
