Evaluating AI Voice and Chat for Customer Support
Questions to answer about use cases, handoff, language coverage, data access, and review before automating customer conversations.

Choose a narrow first workflow
List the repeated questions or tasks that take time today. Decide which can be answered from approved information and which need a person, account access, or a judgment call.
For voice or chat, write sample conversations in the languages customers actually use. Include unclear requests, corrections, and cases where the system should stop and route the customer to a person.
Automate a bounded task first, with a clear path to a human when the system is unsure.
Check data and service dependencies
A support workflow may depend on a phone provider, model, customer system, product data, and consent rules. Confirm which accounts and permissions are available and how customer information will be handled.
Test the workflow with realistic examples and review the logs before expanding its role. Measure whether it resolves the intended task for your business rather than assuming that an automated reply is a successful outcome.
